I currently serve as a Professor and Professional Learning Coordinator at San Diego Mesa College's Learning Opportunities for Transformation (LOFT). Within this capacity, I collaborate with the employees on professional learning initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion as competency areas at the LOFT, the institution's center for professional learning. Additionally, I designed a framework that I use as a lens to support professional learning programs.

I have the honor of serving as a Board member of the Nandi Organization. The Nandi Organization is focused on serving, supporting, and empowering professionals and students within the California Community College system.

I had the opportunity to work on professional learning courses as a designer and facilitator for reputable organizations, including the Online Learning Consortium, Every Learner Everywhere, and the Center for Organizational Responsibility and Advancement. As an active member in my professional community, I have been involved on boards and statewide committees, as well as providing consulting services to two- and four-year institutions.

bell hooks is one of my favorite scholars, and her work influenced my educational philosophy, which revolves around fostering meaningful connections between education, learning, and personal growth.
